CostMate pricing: try free. Pay only when you're sure.

Simple plans for NZ residential builders. Start free, upgrade to Solo for fair-use estimating and clean PDF exports.

Three plans. Free is genuinely free and needs no card. Solo is NZ$49 a month with no GST added: one login for you, plus up to 2 crew logins for their hours. It comes with a 30-day full trial that also needs no card, and if you stop paying it drops back to Free rather than locking you out. Business, for an office login or a bigger crew, is NZ$99 a month for the whole business.

Free: NZ$0 a month

One estimate a month, on the full engine. Not a cut-down version: the same structured estimate logic, the same labour hours, materials, assumptions and exclusions, and the same Dayle ITM and PlaceMakers baseline pricing that Solo uses.

PDF export is included and carries a small CostMate attribution. Quotes you have sent stay accessible.

It exists so you can put a real job through before deciding anything. One estimate a month is not a working subscription for a busy builder, and it is not meant to be.

Solo: NZ$49 a month

Up to 100 estimates a month, and a clean PDF export with no CostMate attribution on the document your client reads.

Solo is fair use rather than unlimited: each feature has a monthly limit, such as 100 estimates, 300 Foreman questions and 30 quote checks. If you reach one, that feature starts again on the 1st of the next month, and everything you have saved still opens and sends.

You can upload your own supplier pricing file so material rates come from what you actually pay rather than from the baseline. That is optional: the baseline works on its own, and it is Auckland-dated, so outside Auckland your own file is worth having.

Also included: variation and review tools, labour and margin adjustments, and The Foreman.

Business: NZ$99 a month

One price for the whole business (NZ$99 a month or NZ$990 a year) with no charge per person. Your office person and your crew each get their own login, crew log their own hours for you to approve, and the business shares one monthly allowance.

Choose it on the Plans & Billing screen in the app once you have signed up.

The trial, and what happens after it

Thirty days of full Solo access with no credit card. Nothing to cancel if you decide against it: at the end it drops to Free on its own.

If you do subscribe and later stop, the account drops to Free rather than closing, and quotes you have already sent stay accessible.

CostMate is not GST registered, so no GST is added to the subscription: the price on the plan card is what you pay.

What you can use without paying anything

No account at all is needed for the sixteen calculators, the five free tools, or the Quote Checker, which will review a quote you already have and return checks worth looking at before you send it.

Good to know

Prices are in NZ dollars, with no GST added because CostMate is not GST registered. Confirm the current figure on the plan card above before you commit.
