Tradify pricing in NZ: what per user adds up to

What Tradify's NZ plans cost per user per month, what each includes, how it adds up for a small crew, and how CostMate charges. Checked 13 October 2026.

Tradify charges per user, per month. That is easy to follow for a one-person business and it climbs as you take on staff. Here is what Tradify's own New Zealand pricing page showed when we checked on 13 October 2026, what each plan includes, and how CostMate charges, so you can compare like with like. Prices change, so look at Tradify's page before you decide.

What does Tradify cost in NZ?

Tradify shows three priced plans on its New Zealand pricing page: Lite at $48, Pro at $52 and Plus at $62. Each is per user, per month, and the page says the prices exclude GST. There is a 14-day free trial. A fourth plan, Custom, is priced on request.

Two extras are priced on their own: the Instant Website add-on is $19 a month, and text messages are 20 cents each.

What do the plans include?

Lite covers jobs, scheduling, quoting and invoicing. Pro adds progress invoicing, reminders, timesheets and forms. Plus adds the AI bill reader, purchase orders, kits and reports.

So if you want timesheets or progress invoices you are on Pro or above, and if you want purchase orders or reports you are on Plus. That is worth knowing before you work out the real monthly cost.

How does per user add up?

Every person who logs in is another seat. Tradify's public pages also describe a No Access kind of user, which lets you schedule someone by email without giving them a login.

As an example only: three people on Pro is 3 x $52, which is $156 a month before GST. The same three on Plus would be higher again, because the Plus price applies to each of them.

What does CostMate charge, for comparison?

CostMate has a free plan with one estimate a month. Solo is $49 a month, and CostMate is not GST registered, so no GST is added. A new account gets 30 days of the paid features free, with no card.

Solo is priced per business, not per user, and it includes up to two crew logins for logging hours. For an office login or a bigger crew there is Business, at $99 a month for the whole business, with no charge per person.

What does CostMate do today?

CostMate takes a residential job from estimate to paid. You choose a job type and fill in the job, and it works out the materials with quantities and the labour in hours by phase, priced from Dayle ITM and PlaceMakers trade pricing. A rules engine does the maths, so the same job entered twice gives the same numbers, and it writes assumptions and exclusions you can edit. The client can accept the quote on a link, and once you win the job it carries on with variations, hours, receipts, deposits and progress claims. It does not have a crew calendar or full invoicing beyond deposits and progress claims. It puts your job's stages on dates, and with Xero connected it sends draft bills and invoices to your own Xero for you to approve there.

Where the two differ most is the number itself. Tradify's quotes are built from your own price lists, kits and templates. In our trial on 9 October 2026 we found nothing in Tradify that works out quantities and hours from a description of the job. CostMate does, and shows its working.

Try it on a real job

The quickest way to compare is to price one job you have already quoted. The free plan and the 30-day trial both need no card, and you can set your result next to what you actually charged.

Where this comes from

Tradify's plan prices and the 14-day trial are from tradifyhq.com/nz/pricing, checked 13 October 2026. What each plan includes, the website and text prices, and the No Access user are from Tradify's public pages and from our own trial account, read on 9 October 2026. Tradify may have changed any of it since.

CostMate's plans are from our own pricing page. Everything said here about what CostMate does is true of a brand-new account today.

Check Tradify's own pricing page before you decide. Prices and plan contents change, and the example above is only arithmetic on the three prices we checked.
